Making the functional beautiful

Commissioned by the industrial design department of Ateliers Du Nord (ADN), our job, on this Nespresso coffee machine, was to integrate an innovative technology into a number of different design versions, adapting the sizes and ergonomics. A presentational document consisting of virtual images was generated on the basis of the models we produced. ADN’s designers were thus able to set out their work in the best possible conditions. Our innovative approach allowed the presentation of a fully realized study at a pre-project stage, thus providing a platform for rapid and efficient decision making on the choice of design. Furthermore, our softwares allowed us to generate files compatible with CNC or stereolithographic machines. The first prototypes were developed on the basis of these files. The coffee machine is now a commercial success story. Ever since, we have been working in collaboration with all the clients and partners from this project to develop new concepts and products.
